The introduction of increasingly sophisticated computer controls
has brought about major advancements in the technology of
injection molding. Today's molding machines offer
injection speed/pressure profiling and precise shot control.
Molding by "speed and position" requires that these
machines be well maintained and that the molding team really
understands the molding
process. This combination of molding skills and equipment
allows us to provide greatly improved part quality and
repeatability.
With a modern 46,000 square foot facility, QPI has made
the investment necessary to become a complete supplier to our
customers. Currently, our press sizes range from 28
tons to 400 tons. All of our presses are state-of-the-art
with closed-loop computer controls and are less than 6 years
old. We are continuously evaluating and upgrading our
injection molding capabilities as our business grows.
In each size we have presses equipped with special screws and
barrels to allow for processing glass and mineral filled
materials. We also have presses equipped with special mixing
sections to ensure uniform dispersion when adding color
concentrate.
At QPI, we
offer a complete line of services expected from today's
top-notch custom molder:
Secondary Operations. Our productive decorating and
finishing department includes hot stamping, pad printing, sonic
welding, tapping, part assembly, and testing.
Just-In-Time (JIT) Delivery. Our proprietary
scheduling and inventory control systems allow us to efficiently
supply large numbers of parts on a JIT basis to our customers
with assembly line operations. We recognize that "on
time delivery" and the willingness to respond in an
emergency are just as important as quality parts.
